Im looking for solve a issues with a Seagate ST500DM002(Barracuda) that now cant read sector "0". Then. I imagine that it can be fixed with command (m0,2,2,,,,22) over HD Doctor for seagate, but unfortunately I dont have this tool. You know someone that can send it for my email? There is any other procedure that I can to do to fix it? Can you help me with that? I really need my data back. How much cost it? So, there is some freeware tools or command that I can use for my seagate drive? How I can update firmware for this drive If there isn't firmware available on seagate website? There is another place where I can find it? Assuming that I find the firmware, how can I update the hd, such as it can not be read?Assuming that I got a clone drive with hddsuperclone or ddrescue, what's the next step to the clone drive?Thinking more about this issue, you have been a gentleman with many advice. Please, could you send for my email a list of mandatory tools that I need consider to make a professional Kit for data recovery/forensic. I will consider to help people on my region with that. Many years ago when HDD Guru was starting i only knew about Ace with PC-3000, SD with HD DOctors and BVG with HRT.Many years later Mr. Div. from RUSSIA did publish a tool that would work only on Seagate ST-10 drives .... SeDiv. Only later SeDiv was updated first to work with WD drives and progressively Mr. Div released Hitachi tool and later provided Seagae F3 Arch support and Toshiba, etc .... SeDiv is Ruissian and you can search HDD Guru for the first time it started to be mentioned ... I think it was at the start of 2009.... Salvation Data is Chinese and do exist way prior to that. Also SD and HRT did had tools for all brands while SeDiv was ST-10 only for years.About the .... "clones" or tools based on ... PC-3000 .... ? Salvation data have Data Compass, PC-3000 have "DE" or Data Extractor. HRT have "DRE" or Data Recovery Edition and MRT have Data Explorer.SeDiv is firmware tool only aimed more to drive repair and refurb.
